The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), in partnership with Skate Australia, supports Queensland’s best emerging and elite skateboarders, and their coaches, with expert and individualised performance support and world-class facility and technology access.
QAS-supported skateboarders have achieved extraordinary success on the national and international stage, including Keegan Palmer, two-time Olympic gold medallist in men’s park skateboarding (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024), Arisa Trew, Australia’s youngest Olympic gold medallist (Paris 2024), and Chloe Covell, 2025 World Skateboarding Tour World Cup winner and back-to-back Street League Champion (2023, 2024), cementing Queensland as the nation’s powerhouse of skateboarding talent.
