The QAS welcomed its first scholarship athletes, creating a dedicated high performance pathway for Queensland’s emerging sporting talent and laying the foundation for future sporting success.
The QAS established SPIKE, Australia’s first applied sports science research initiative embedded within a state sporting institute, connecting researchers, universities and industry partners to solve real-world high performance challenges.
The QAS launched the 2032 High Performance Strategy, bringing together more than 450 stakeholders to create a blueprint for Queensland’s sporting success leading into Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
The QAS launched the YouFor2032 Talent Search, one of Queensland’s largest talent identification program, designed to discover future Olympic and Paralympic athletes from communities across the state.
The QAS expanded its network of specialist training environments through new athlete health suites and high performance gyms at Nathan and Chandler, alongside the delivery of the BMX Freestyle National Centre of Excellence, National Throws Centre of Excellence and Indoor Skate facility in partnership with sports and key stakeholders.

The YouFor2032 Talent Search program welcomed its first major partner RACQ and launched the YouFor2032 Talent Search App the world’s first fully remote, multi-sport testing program using AI to assist in screening athletes.
