The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) Regional Hub pilot is helping bring high performance expertise closer to talented regional athletes. For many athletes, accessing specialist support can mean travelling away from home, school, training and their local support networks, or relocating to South-East Queensland earlier in their sporting journey. By launching a regional hub model, the QAS has an opportunity to improve access, strengthen athlete pathways and help more athletes develop and progress closer to home.

Townsville Sports Precinct, 24 Burke Street, North Ward QLD 4810

Based at the Townsville Sports Precinct, athletes will have access to a high performance gym, a dedicated strength and conditioning coach and broader performance support.

QAS-supported athletes are supported through the QAS Regional Hub on a case by case basis. To find out if you are eligible to be supported, contact your High Performance Manager.
