We’ve broken down the steps involved in entering the elite sporting pathway so you can start your journey with confidence.
Get started with the YouFor2032 Talent Search app, driven by RACQ. Complete a series of short physical tests using your phone, and get your results back within minutes.
Once you finish your tests, the QAS Talent team will review your profile and results to see how they match what our partner sports are looking for in future elite athletes.
Successful athletes will be invited to attend an in-person testing session based on their results. Don’t worry if there’s no testing sessions near you – the QAS Talent team will work with you to help you access a session.
The QAS Talent team partners with sport organisations to review your testing results and see if we can match you to a sport where you have the best chance of success. Some sports may invite you to a more sport-specific testing session before inviting you to commence a three-month trial with your matched sport/s.

The app uses advanced computer vision technology to assess your movements from wherever you are in Queensland. Complete a series of short physical tests using your phone, and you will get your results back within minutes. Compare your results, discover your strengths and find out which sports you may be suited to.
Test as many times as you like to try and better your scores – the QAS Talent team will only take your best results!

Most importantly, we reinforce that sport should be fun, and highlight how to best support a young athlete – balancing structure, encouragement, and wellbeing, to help them thrive both in sport and beyond.

The QAS’s YouFor2032 program is open to aspiring Queensland athletes aged between:
If you don’t fall within the age range for YouFor2032, you won’t be eligible for selection through the program.
These age ranges are determined based on the needs of our partner sports and the time required to become elite in each sport.
YouFor2032 isn’t your only pathway to success. There are already great talent pathways operating at the local, regional and state levels where athletes are given opportunities through the respective sporting organisations. If you fall outside of our age ranges and want to have a go, join a local sporting club today.

If you’re looking to enter Olympic or Paralympic sport, you can start at home with the YouFor2032 Talent Search app, driven by RACQ. Complete a range of app-based tests and submit your results to the QAS Talent Team for review.
If you’re selected, we’ll invite you to the nearest in-person session – or work with you to arrange another option.
No, there is no cost to download or use the YouFor2032 Talent Search app, or to participate in the initial stages of the program.
Thanks to the support from the Queensland Government, RACQ and our partner sporting organisations, the program remains accessible for all athletes.
No! We encourage all athletes to keep playing their current sport/s and other activities while exploring the opportunities through YouFor2032. If you’re matched to a new sport as part of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to try it out for a few months before making any long-term decisions.
The YouFor2032 Talent Search, driven by RACQ, aims to find athletes with the potential for Olympic and Paralympic sport pathways. While not every sport is partnered with YouFor2032, the program can help you discover the sport where you may have the greatest potential. It may even be one you hadn’t considered trying before. If your current sport isn’t included, you can still pursue it through other established pathways.
Absolutely. The YouFor2032 Talent Search program works with a number of Para sport partners, and our team works closely with Paralympics Australia on Paralympic classification and eligibility.

The QAS Talent team holds testing sessions across Queensland.
The places we visit is determined by where we find talent! If your region isn’t scheduled for a face-to-face testing session, and you’re invited to the next phase, the team will work with you to arrange an alternative opportunity.
Even if you’re not selected, Olympic applicants will receive testing results and age-matched benchmarks through the YouFor2032 Talent Search app.
Olympic and Paralympic sport applicants that attend an in-person testing day will also receive a report with their results.
You’ll also gain access to a contact list of Regional Sport Development Officers, educational materials for athletes and families, and an invitation to re-test in future rounds.
Local clubs and sporting organisations also provide numerous pathways for advancing your talent.

Once you start your first physical test, you must complete all the tests within 24 hours. If you do not finish all of them in that time, you will need to wait two days to try again.
You can save your progress on the athlete profile and background questions to complete any time. Just make sure you complete all the information before the testing period closes.
Yes. The app is designed to be inclusive and accessible and is currently utilised to support the identification of aspiring regional Queensland athletes.
Para athletes do not currently receive their results via artificial intelligence within the app. By completing as many tests as you are able, para athletes’ test data will be reviewed by the QAS Talent team, and athletes who meet the selection and eligibility criteria will be invited to a face-to-face testing day. By testing in the app, invited regional athletes will be eligible for funding/ travel assistance.
Even if you are not a regional athlete, by completing as many tests as you are able will support your readiness for upcoming Para testing days.
Yes. You can apply to have access to the data and video footage under the Right to Information Act 2009 or if it is your personal information under the IP Act. You can request information by applying online here:
