4,280 kilometres, 9 towns, and 8,491 pull ups: From the Gold Coast, Cairns and everywhere in between, the YouFor2032 talent team hit the open road for the 2024 regional tour, travelling 4,280km across the state to find the next generation of sports stars.
Testing 450 young athletes over four weeks, the talent team were looking for Queenslanders aged 13-23 who have the passion, potential and drive to represent Australia on the world stage.
YouFor2032 Talent Lead Alex Roberts said: “Our talent team was thrilled to see standout performances on tour, including a beep test high score of 13 and an impressive 60 pull-ups by one participant. Each stop brought incredible stories of determination.”
The team wrapped up the regional tour with a sunrise jump off the Hervey Bay Jetty. Athletes have received their testing reports, and QAS Talent Advisors are working closely with sports to select athletes who will receive an invitation to the three-month Talent Confirmation phase of the program.
