Results Wrap: Relays, records and rising talent for QAS-supported athletes

QAS-supported athletes have starred across the track and turf this week, helping Australia secure key qualifications, break records, and push for podium finishes on the international and national stage.

World Athletics Relay – China: Australia’s 4x400m relay teams secured key World Championships qualifications. The men’s squad clocked 2:59.73 in Qualifying Round 2, just 0.03 seconds shy of the national record from 1984. QAS-supported athletes Reece Holder and Ellie Beer were key contributors.

Australia’s 4x100m men’s relay team, featuring QAS-supported sprinter Lachlan Kennedy, powered to second place with 38.31 to qualify for Tokyo.

U21 Hockey National Championships – Victoria: The Queensland women’s team, featuring nine QAS-supported athletes, claimed silver after falling 2-1 to the ACT in the gold medal match. The Queensland men’s side finished fifth after a strong showing in their final match.
