From the hockey pitch to the athletics track, open water, and beyond, QAS-supported athletes have delivered standout performances on the world stage.
Hockey – Junior Oceania, New Zealand: Both Australia’s Junior Men’s and Women’s teams secured victory over New Zealand to be crowned Junior Oceania Cup winners and qualify for the Junior World Cup.
Women’s Rugby 7s – Sydney Sevens: Australia claimed victory at the Sydney Sevens. Key QAS-supported athletes Maddison Levi, Heidi Dennis, Charlotte Caslick, and Kahli Henwood secured a 28-26 victory over New Zealand. Heidi Dennis was named Player of the Final.
Athletics: Torrie Lewis set the fastest 60m time ever recorded by an Australian woman. Lachlan Kennedy set an Australian record in the 60m (6.43), shattering a 20-year record.
Swimming – Open Water Championship: Moesha Johnson claimed gold in the women’s 10km. Thomas Raymond won silver.
Monobob – IBSF World Cup, St Moritz: Bree Walker continued her strong World Cup season with a second-place finish.
