From the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore to the streets of Hamburg, QAS supported athletes delivered a weekend of world-class performances.
The Australian women’s water polo team opened their World Championship campaign with back-to-back wins in Singapore. The Stingers had a dominant start with a resounding 34-2 win over Singapore, featuring key contributions from QAS supported athletes Gabi Palm, Tenealle Fasala, Charlize Andrews and Alice Williams.
They backed it up in Game Two with a hard-fought 19-15 win over Italy. The match marked a special milestone for Alice Williams, who played her 100th game for Australia.
In Germany, Matt Hauser surged to victory in the World Triathlon Championship Series Hamburg, extending his lead in the world rankings. Hauser then teamed up with Luke Willian in the Mixed Relay, chasing down a 20-second deficit in the final run leg to secure gold for Team Australia.
