Results Wrap: From Papendal to Osaka: Queenslanders bring the action on the world stage

QAS supported athletes were in action across the globe over the weekend, turning heads with strong performances in BMX and skateboarding. From the tracks of the Netherlands to the ramps of Osaka, Queenslanders showed exactly why they’re ones to watch.

BMX Race World Cup – Rounds 3 and 4, Papendal (Netherlands): Saya Sakakibara delivered another impressive result, claiming silver in the Elite Women’s category across Rounds 3 and 4. Rising talent Teya Rufus also held her own, finishing sixth in Round 3.

X Games Osaka – Skateboarding and BMX: Paris 2024 Olympic gold medallist Arisa Trew made X Games history, taking out double gold in the Women’s Skateboard Vert and Park events – bringing her career total to seven X Games golds, making her the owner of more X Games gold than any woman in history.

Chloe Covell added to the gold rush with a standout win in the Women’s Street event. Keegan Palmer secured silver in the Men’s Skateboard Park.

In BMX, Logan Martin added a silver in the Park Best Trick event.
