Since being founded more than 30 years ago, the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) has been an agency within the Queensland Government. Today, it was announced that the Queensland Government will take steps towards making the QAS a Statutory Body.
This exciting news follows the Queensland Government’s review of QAS undertaken by Deloitte and will ensure the QAS is future-proofed for delivering success for Queensland athletes and coaches on the road to LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
The QAS is looking forward to watching QAS-supported athletes and para athletes on the world stage in Paris.
