Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) supported athletes have delivered a series of dominant performances on the national and international stage—collecting medals and setting records across Athletics, Para Archery, Para Triathlon, and Track Cycling.
Athletics – World Indoor Championships, China: Lachlan Kennedy claimed silver in the 60m in 6.50 seconds, securing Australia’s first-ever medal in the event. Ky Robinson earned bronze in the 3000m. Liam Adcock jumped a personal best of 8.28m to win bronze in the men’s long jump. The women’s 4x400m relay team featuring Ellie Beer claimed bronze.
Para Archery – World Cup: Tom Holland secured bronze in the men’s recurve and gold in the team event. Amanda Jennings dominated the women’s recurve, taking home gold.
Triathlon – World Para Triathlon Championships, Davenport: Jack Howell (PTS5) and Grace Brimelow (PTS4) each powered to gold in their respective events.
Track Cycling – Nations Cup, Turkey: Liam Walsh and James Moriarty claimed gold in the team pursuit. Ryan Elliott secured bronze in the men’s team sprint.
Beach Volleyball: Taliqua Clancy and Jana Milutinovic claimed back-to-back wins on the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour.
