QAS partners with Programmed to power athlete careers beyond sport

In high-performance sport, what happens off the field is just as important as what happens on it. That’s why the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) has partnered with national workforce leader Programmed to expand the reach and impact of the Dream Twice athlete employment program.

Dream Twice gives elite and emerging Queensland athletes access to flexible, meaningful employment that supports both their sporting goals and career ambitions.

Through this new partnership, QAS-supported athletes will gain access to a broad range of job opportunities within Programmed’s internal divisions and extensive client network.

“This is about setting athletes up for life, not just for competition,” said QAS Director of Partnerships, Jessica Walker. “Programmed’s reach across so many industries gives athletes access to opportunities they might never have discovered on their own.”

The Dream Twice program helps athletes navigate a dual-career lifestyle, providing access to career coaching, industry placements, and opportunities that build confidence, purpose, and financial security.

With eyes firmly set on LA 2028 and beyond, QAS continues to invest in people, pathways, and partnerships that help athletes perform, inspire, and succeed — in sport and in life.
