The Queensland Academy of Sport celebrated its successful Dream Twice Athlete Employment program with a showcase event for athletes and inaugural program partners, including Tourism and Events Queensland, Trade and Investment Queensland, TAFE Queensland and LSKD.
Sprinter Bree Masters shared her first-hand insight: “The flexibility they provide me in terms of where I’m working from, the work hours that I work, and just the support they have for me as Bree the person and athlete, is amazing.”
QAS Performance Partnerships Director Jessica Walker said: “Quite often athletes really struggle to make ends meet in amongst their training. They have very little opportunity to get a foot in the door. By partnering up with these businesses we’re giving athletes that opportunity for that next step in their career.”
