The Queensland Academy of Sport has celebrated a significant milestone with the successful launch of its first Female Performance Health Series, bringing together more than 50 supported athletes for a morning of expert insights, practical learning and open conversation about the unique needs of female athletes.
The inaugural event featured an expert panel with Cate Campbell OAM OLY, Dr Clare Minahan and QAS TSP athlete Ruby Pass. The panel explored what is considered normal in the female athlete experience and shared their personal insights on the factors that influence long term performance including recovery, wellbeing and individual health considerations.
Athletes also engaged in an interactive exhibit hosted by QAS Sports Physicians, world leading researchers, a Sports Gynaecologist and a fertility specialist.
The series will continue in 2026, expanding to include more athletes across QAS programs.
