From backyard dreams to global podiums – Queensland’s next generation of elite athletes have taken their first big step.
The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) has officially inducted the 2025 Talent Support Program (TSP) cohort, welcoming a standout group of 19 emerging athletes.
This year’s cohort includes rising stars Gout Gout (Athletics) and Ruby Pass (Gymnastics), who reflect the exciting depth of talent across Queensland.
The TSP plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing athletes from across the state, with strong representation from regional Queensland.
“The Talent Support Program is a launchpad,” said Ben Southwell, Talent Support Lead. “It’s about identifying potential early, providing structure and support, and setting young athletes on a trajectory towards success.”
